Case 1. A Case of Baby- Thong Sandals

A 3-month-old baby girl arrived at day care with her mother.  The baby was wearing a pink shirt and matching pants.  She had on a pair of pink vinyl thong sandals accessorized with golden chains which immediately caught my attention.  (Figure 1).

Discussion:

Sandals have adorned feet since pre-historic times about 10,000 years ago.  The Phoenicians, Egyptians, Babilonians, Persians, Jews, Chinease and Ancient Greeks wore different kinds of sandals made out of diverse materials with many types of decorations.  Today, there are many styles of sandals which are made out of many different kinds of materials for all ages, tastes, styles and budgets.  As I looked up in the internet I found baby thong sandals by Ralph Lauren Childrenswear Girls' Bowman Bright Blush (Figure 2a), as well as similar sandals by Dekoposh and Vitamin babies. (Figure 2b, 2c).  These pink thong sandals were fashionable and simply adorable for the summer!

Caso 1. Un Caso de Sandalias para Bebe -con Correas

Una bebe de tres meses llegó a la guarderia con su madre.  La bebe llevaba puesto una camisa rosa y pantalones que hacian juego.  Tenia puesto un par de sandalias hechas de vinyl con correas y accesorios de cadenas doradas que inmediatamente captaron mi atención.  (Figura 1).

Discusión

Las Sandalias han adornado los pies de las personas desde tiempos pre-historicos hace más de 10,000 años atrás.  Los Fenicios, Egipcios, Babilonios, Persas, Judios, Chinos y Antiguos Griegos usaron diferentes tipos de sandalias hechas de diferentes materiales y con muchos tipos diversos de decoraciones.  Hoy en día, existen muchos estilos de sandalias hechas de distintos materiales para todas las edades, gustos, estilos y presupuestos.  Mientras buscaba en el internet encontré varias propuestas de sandalias para bebe por Ralph Lauren Childrenswear (Figure 2a), así como sandalias similares por Dekoposh y Vitamin babies. (Figure 2b, c).  Estas sandalias de correa están muy  “a la moda” y son simplemente adorables para el verano.
